Avon, NY – Quicklee’s Convenience Stores, a family-owned and operated convenience store chain located in Upstate New York, helped in collecting over 75,000 toys for the Marine Corps. Toys for Tots program. Over 30,000 children in the Rochester, NY region benefited from the toy donations.
“This was our second year acting as an official drop off location, and once again it was a huge success” said Brian Mongi, General Manager of Quicklees. “Programs like this just go to show you how much the community cares, and the great things we can accomplish together.”
Quicklee’s participation in the program was made possible through its sponsorship of News 10 WHEC Rochester’s Annual Holiday Toy Drive. With over 25 locations, Quicklee’s was sought out by WHEC and Toys for Tots as the drop-off location sponsor because it’s large footprint made finding and dropping off toys quick and easy for community members.
“This program is special to us….because not only does the community rally behind it and that’s fun to see, but our team members get excited to participate.” said Ken Perelli, VP and Chief Operations Officer. “Our team members donate toys, they help promote it, and in the end everyone is working together to make the holiday season brighter for those in need.”
Toys were collected at all area Quicklee's locations as well as other drop off locations across Monroe and surrounding counties. Quicklee’s Convenience Stores first acted as an official WHEC Holiday Toy Drive drop off location in 2020. For more information about the Marine Corps.
